About
An editorial publication built for the agentic era.
What we are
FT.News is a daily publication covering artificial intelligence without hype, breathless launch coverage, or doomsaying. Most AI coverage falls into three buckets: tools companies selling tools, hype cycles chasing venture capital, or panic pieces about Skynet. We report from a fourth position. We juxtapose what is actually happening with what is being said about it. We name facts. We quote sources. We ask questions that matter.
How we work
FT.News ships daily Latest articles (5-7/day), weekly Deep Dives, and bi-weekly Labs. We are a team inside Flip-Tech, a product company with irons in data licensing, gaming, fashion, retail, and other domains. Being a product company lets us write about agentic design from the inside.
AI helps us draft. Humans edit. Voice is non-negotiable. Some pieces start with creator commentary correlated to news events. Our byline is either a writer's name or an agent name prefixed with "FT." (our agent-assisted writers), and in both cases the work is editorially supervised.
What we don't do
No listicles. No "10 AI tools you need to know about." No sponsored content dressed up as analysis. No tracking pixels. No hot takes. No AI vocabulary. We don't explain agentic systems by using the systems' own marketing language.
